Music has a way of transporting us to places that can arouse a great many feelings. Do you remember the music that was playing when you experienced your first kiss? What were the great songs of your day when you were in high school? Is there a song from a particular moving worship service that sticks out in your mind?

Christian / Gospel

I thoroughly enjoy good music from choirs and the top two groups are The Chicago Mass Choir and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Below are some of my recommendations:

	Keep Your Mind On Jesus - My favorite selection is the title track as well the track You Rescued Me. Overall a very good album and one of my favorites from this choir.

	Hold On, Don't Give Up - Again the title track is very moving and very encouraging during those times in life when you just want to throw in the towel. God Will Fix It For You is a traditional gospel tune that will get your feet stomping and your soul soring.

	Be Glad - Another fine outing by the Brooklyn Tab that leads the listening into a worship experience. Outstanding remake of Kirk Franklin's My Life Is In Your Hands

Soundtracks

Some of the best music being produced today is written for the motion picture screen. Being a movie buff, I am keenly atuned to how music has a way of setting the tone, pace and emotion of a film. A good movie soundtrack is one where you can hear a portion of the score and it vividly brings to mind the scene from the movie. Here are some of my favorites:

	Star Trek: 1st Contact - Not only was the movie good but the soundtrack was just a excellent with a couple of oldies thrown in with Steepenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride.
